I am in the third season of my vocation as a Christian Educator. After spending six years serving parishes and seven years in Episcopal Schools, I anticipate graduating from the University of Virginia in 2016 with an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. I decided to enroll in a secular education school because I knew there was research on educational technology and cognitive learning we would need to create effective 21st Century Christian education programs. Integrating and transferring the concepts from my work at UVa into programs for seminary faculty is one way I feel called to live into my vocation as a priest-educator-scholar.
